This association represented a force for the advancement of the city over many decades. The article is concerned with the relationship of Habib Bourguiba, as one of the most important freedom fighters in the 1930s, with this association, which was characterized by consensus and understanding. Then the effect of the period of independence reversed, specifically a year after the establishment of the republican system.
