States respect democratic principles and devote ongoing efforts to the promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms, and peaceful circulation of power; Conduct of fair elections and separation of authority with a view to building democratic political systems and the electoral system plays an important role in the democratic transition process, reflecting the people’s interaction with the decision-making process and the Constitution and laws related to elections are one of the means of promoting democratic values, Morocco has witnessed a series of constitutional and legal reforms aimed at strengthening the role of democratic institutions and improving the transparency of the electoral process and to promote effective political participation, which are essential tools in promoting democratic governance, the rule of law, social inclusion and economic development, as well as reforms related to election regulations and laws, enhanced oversight and anti-corruption The role of civil society and the democratization of political participation have been strengthened through legislation that promotes citizens’ rights and protects their funda mental freedoms. This article aims to explore Morocco’s electoral system and the constitutional and legal reforms it has witnessed in order to strengthen democracy and improve the electoral process<\/p>\n\n\n\n
