AbstractMarrubium
Vulgare is a plant with multiple and important therapeutic properties, and its
effectiveness has been known since ancient times for its wide use. Many studies
have been conducted proving its effectiveness in the chemical and biological
fields and in the pharmaceutical, antioxidant and microbial industries. This
paper was concerned with studying the active substances found in the extract of
this plant, as well as its use as a preservative for meat tablets. Minced
chicken. The results obtained showed that the powder of the leaves of the
Marrubium Vulgare plant has an inhibitory effect on the total count of bacteria
as well as colon bacteria when used as a preservative for minced chicken meat
tablets. The results of the qualitative detection of the active substances on
the aqueous extract of the leaves of the Marrubium Vulgare plant showed that it
was noted that it contains active substances: (tannins, phenols, flavonoids,
