and &#8220;Ataq&#8221; by Ibrahim Madwaah. The study relies on the semiotic approach to explore the connotations of thresholds and their function in the text. The study consists of an introduction, a preface, three axes, and a conclusion. The introduction included the subject of the study and its importance, the reasons for choosing it, its questions, its objectives, previous studies, the method followed, and the divisions of the study. The first axis dealt with the title threshold, touching on its importance, connotations, and connotations in the two novels. The second axis was devoted to studying the cover painting and what it suggests in terms of its colors, drawings, and its relationship with the text. The third axis came to study the introduction in the two novels.
