dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" dir=\"ltr\">Ellipsis is one of the prominent linguistic phenomena that distinguishes the Arabic language. Although this phenomenon exists in all languages, Arabic stands out for its application of ellipsis at the phonological, morphological, and syntactic levels. This paper examines ellipsis within Arabic sentence structure and various grammatical constructions. As a rhetorical and eloquent device, ellipsis is a defining feature of Arabic, with its primary function being brevity and conciseness. The native Arabic linguistic intuition tends to avoid verbosity and prefers expressions that are light and fluid. This study also explores the phenomenon of ellipsis in Surat Al-A\u02bfr\u0101f, highlighting specific instances to demonstrate how ellipsis is employed at the syntactic level within this chapter. This analysis contributes to a deeper understanding of Surat Al-A\u02bfr\u0101f, one of the longest Meccan chapters of the Qur\u2019an. The chapter is marked by its dialogical structure, focused on engaging with polytheists and persuading various audiences.
