class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using brainstorming and lecture-based strategies in teaching geography to first-year students at Adam Barka University and the Higher Institute for Teacher Training in Ab\u00e9ch\u00e9, Chad. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, the research involved a randomly selected sample of 80 students (40 male and 40 female), divided into two groups. The experimental group (Group A), composed of 20 male and 20 female students, was taught using the brainstorming strategy, while the control group (Group B) received instruction through the traditional lecture method.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To assess the impact, the researcher developed and validated both a creativity test and an academic achievement test. Statistical analysis was conducted using means, standard deviations, and the t-test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results revealed that the use of the brainstorming strategy significantly improved students\u2019 academic performance in geography. The experimental group showed greater achievement compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences between their performance averages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In light of these findings, the study recommends that instructors under the Ministry of Higher Education reconsider their teaching methods and integrate innovative approaches, particularly brainstorming.
