Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The study aimed to identify the level of social skills among providers of psychosocial support services in Idlib Governorate and to analyze the differences in the levels of the variables according to gender, years of experience, and academic qualification.
The final sample consisted of 150 participants who were purposefully selected from four humanitarian organizations. Demographically, the participants included 77 males and 73 females; 79 had less than ten years of experience, and 71 had ten years or more; 93 held a bachelor’s degree or lower, while 57 held postgraduate degrees.
The study adopted a Social Skills Scale comprising three dimensions: empathy, assertiveness, and psychological flexibility. The validity and reliability of the tools were verified and adapted to the study environment. The descriptive-analytical method was followed, and the tools were applied electronically after coordination with the target organizations and the exclusion of the psychometric sample.
The results indicated that the overall level of social skills among psychosocial support providers in Idlib was high, with empathy and assertiveness dimensions rated high, and psychological flexibility rated at a moderate level. The findings showed no statistically significant differences in social skills based on gender or years of experience. However, a statistically significant difference was found in the empathy dimension in favor of participants with postgraduate degrees.
In light of these results, the study recommends designing training programs that focus on developing social skills, especially among workers with lower educational qualifications. It also recommends providing regular professional psychological support, integrating social skills into university curricula in mental health and social work fields, and developing an effective professional supervision system that considers individual differences. Additionally, the study emphasizes the importance of supporting ongoing field research in crisis-affected areas such as Idlib to ensure that interventions remain responsive to the real conditions of workers and beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
