This study examines the strategies employed by translators in rendering idiomatic expressions across languages, with the aim of understanding how meaning, cultural resonance, and stylistic effect are preserved in translation. Guided by translation theories and models such as Baker\u2019s taxonomy of idiom strategies, the study addresses three main research questions: what strategies translators use when translating idioms, how they ensure meaning and cultural impact are conveyed, and how different strategies influence reader comprehension. A qualitative methodology was adopted, involving the collection and analysis of a corpus of idioms and their translations, classified according to strategy and function. The analysis highlights that translators rely on a range of techniques, including equivalence, paraphrasing, adaptation, and, in some cases, omission, depending on the cultural specificity and communicative purpose of the idiom. The findings underscore the significance of cultural competence and creativity in translation, showing that successful idiom translation involves more than linguistic transfer\u2014it requires sensitivity to context and audience. This study contributes to the field of translation studies by providing insights into idiom translation strategies and by offering implications for translator training and cross-cultural
