Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world is witnessing rapid development in the field of technology and smart industries, which affects all aspects of life, including the security aspect, which directly concerns the security of citizens and the state. These advanced systems raise significant debate about their potential negative aspects, which may generate unfamiliar forms of existential threat and terrorism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On one hand, artificial intelligence offers important ways to combat terrorism, such as analyzing large data to identify potential terrorist activities or developing smart surveillance systems. However, on the other hand, it raises many concerns about its potential use by various terrorist networks to spread propaganda, plan terrorist attacks, or breach security systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consequently, it becomes important to establish new standards and principles to regulate the use of artificial intelligence in combating terrorism, while considering privacy rights, freedom of expression, and security, especially. This is where the role of higher education institutions emerges to educate students on how to leverage this technology, and to train generations capable of understanding these new scientific techniques responsibly and ethically, and to provide the necessary expertise to regulate their use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
