class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Objectives: <\/strong>The research aims to extract the results of some studies on the causes, types and social and psychological effects of cyberbullying. In addition to extracting the ruling on bullying and its punishment from the jurisprudential and legal aspects. <strong>Methods: <\/strong>The type of study is descriptive and follows the analytical approach; in order to be able to describe, explain, analyze and interpret the various dimensions of the problem addressed by the subject of study. <strong>Results:<\/strong> The research concluded that the most prominent causes of cyberbullying consist of compensating for feelings of inferiority, jealousy, lack of parental supervision, absence of a value system and bad company. The types of cyberbullying are harmful comments, mockery, ridicule and contempt, in addition to electronic harassment. Its most prominent social and psychological effects include depression, anxiety, low academic achievement, introversion, and social isolation. As for the jurisprudential ruling on cyberbullying, it is prohibited and its punishment is discretionary punishment. As for the legal ruling, the Jordanian legislator did not explicitly stipulate this crime, but it considered some of the actions carried out by the bully to be criminal, specifically slander, libel and defamation. <strong>Conclusions: <\/strong>Cyberbullying is a bad phenomenon. It is forbidden in jurisprudence and criminalized by law. It is necessary to combat this phenomenon, further to enacting legal provisions that clearly stipulate this crime with a deterring punishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
