Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study aimed to determine the level of psychological burnout among special education teachers in Idlib City from their own perspectives and to examine the significance of differences in burnout levels according to gender, academic qualification, years of experience, and age. The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach and was conducted on a sample of (62) male and female special education teachers working in inclusive schools in Idlib during the academic year 2025\u20132026. An exploratory sample of (20) teachers was also used to verify the psychometric properties of the instrument. The researcher developed a burnout scale specifically for this study, which in its final form consisted of (24) items distributed across three dimensions: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment, based on a five-point Likert scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The findings indicated that the overall level of psychological burnout among the participants was high. Emotional exhaustion ranked first, followed by reduced personal accomplishment, while depersonalization was at a moderate level. The results also revealed no statistically significant differences attributed to gender and age. However, statistically significant differences were found in relation to academic qualification and years of experience on the overall scale and some of its dimensions. The study recommended implementing regular professional psychological support programs, reducing teaching workload, enhancing both financial and moral incentives, and improving supportive work environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
