It has been linked with the Idea of mother womb does not give birth yet, fertility, and mother protection in some communities, which it pointing to the idea of compensation of the dead child. Other interpretations were about rituals connected to the rain or river flood in some communities in Africa. here this research focusing on the cultural significant of the pot-burials in Sudan and the geographical distribution, the pot-burials covering the north and central Sudan, but it is slightly concentrated in central Sudan. not enough studies have been applied to review the cultural importance of this practice and the relation with the social structure of the Neolithic societies in central Sudan. the comparative studies of the Neolithic burial practices might lead to more clear interpretations about the pot-burial as burials practice and the cultural meaning of special treatment of the children in Sudan. Furthermore, the interpretation of symbolic meaning of burring children in pot-burials is various in African context, but what is the closest to Sudan cases as per the author perspective. This topic uses the available and published information about children pot-burials in Sudan unearthed from four principle Neolithic sites dated between 5000 BC. \u2013 3000 BC.
