 Study Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This study investigates the spatial efficiency of curative health services in Kosti city using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The study aimed to evaluate the spatial efficiency of curative health services using GIS software, analyze the spatial distribution of curative health services in the study area, and identify areas of deficiency. The study employed several methodologies, including descriptive and historical approaches. It utilized diverse data collection methods and tools, such as books, dissertations, research papers, and reports. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology was used to assess the efficiency of curative healthcare services. The study concluded that the spatial distribution of curative healthcare services is uneven, and that there is a concentration of service centers in the city center that does not conform to international standards. This conclusion was reached using GIS software and the application of the Average Nearest Neighbor (pde) coefficient. The value of (R) was found to represent a cluster of curative healthcare services (hospitals, health centers, and pharmacies) in the city center, albeit to varying degrees. The study also found that the spatial distribution of curative healthcare services in the study area is uneven, and that these services are not distributed across all neighborhoods. Furthermore, the study revealed that some city residents travel long distances to reach service centers, based on the application of GIS software and the buffering of curative healthcare services. In the area, based on residential proximity, the distance is (4) kilometers for hospitals, (750) meters for health centers and clinics, and (500) meters for pharmacies, as their coverage does not extend to all neighborhoods. It is essential to focus on scientific research in the field of curative healthcare services in the area, utilizing modern technologies such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), as these assist officials in the sound planning of curative healthcare services. The responsible authorities should prioritize GIS software and systems, as they contribute to equitable planning of curative healthcare services based on scientific principles. Developing a database for curative healthcare services in the area is crucial to facilitate monitoring and oversight. Furthermore, establishing new curative healthcare institutions in the area (hospitals, health centers, pharmacies), particularly in third-tier neighborhoods, is necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
