The study is grounded in a central research problem concerning the persistent inability of these movements to achieve an effective balance between their ideological foundations and the institutional requirements of governance within the framework of the nation-state, resulting in a decline in political legitimacy and limited capacity to manage authority in volatile regional and international environments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on a systematic tracing of political trajectories and an analysis of critical turning points, the study hypothesizes that the absence of a long-term strategic vision, combined with the dominance of short-term tactical decision-making, constitutes fundamental structural factors behind the failure of political Islam movements to transition from ideological mobilization to institutional governance. Methodologically, the study employs an interpretive\u2013comparative analytical approach, centered on examining the political meanings embedded in discourse, practices, and patterns of decision-making, and situating them within their historical and institutional contexts. The analysis draws on peer-reviewed academic literature, international research reports, and public speeches and statements issued by movement leaders at key political moments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The findings indicate that weak organizational institutionalization, fragmented decision-making structures, and the prioritization of ideological considerations over national interests have collectively constrained the effectiveness of these movements and hindered their transformation into stable governing actors. Furthermore, the comparison with the Turkish experience suggests that combining strategic vision with economic institutionalization may generate relative stability, yet remains insufficient to resolve the crisis of political legitimacy in the absence of robust democratic guarantees.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Keywords:<\/strong> <strong>Political Islam \u2013 Muslim
