This bacterium can cause infection in the stomach and duodenum, and is the most common cause of peptic ulcer disease if left untreated. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of&nbsp;<em>H. pylori<\/em>&nbsp;infection and its relationship with age and gender among the population in the of Al-Qubbah city, Libya. The study included 206 patients suffering from stomach pain, burning, vomiting, and loss of appetite, from various age groups of both genders. To detect the presence of this bacterium, a stool sample was collected from each symptomatic patient and tested using the&nbsp;<em>H. pylori<\/em>&nbsp;antigen test at the Al-Qubbah hospital laboratories from November 2025 to March 2026. The results of this study demonstrated that out of a total of 206 cases, 105 were positive and 101 were negative, indicating a high prevalence rate of <em>H. pylori<\/em> infection at 51%. The findings revealed a statistically significant association (P=0.028&lt;0.05; X\u00b2=4.82) between <em>H. pylori<\/em> infection and the patient&#8217;s gender, as the infection rate was significantly higher in females at 55.7% compared to 38.6% in males. Furthermore, the results also revealed a very strong association between <em>H. pylori<\/em> infection and the patient&#8217;s age (P&lt;0.0001; X\u00b2=34.8), with the highest infection rate found in the 21\u201330 age group at 51.4, followed by the 31\u201340 age group at 25.7%. People in mid-life (21\u201340 years) are considered more susceptible to
