Abstract
This study examines the scholarly status of Imam Abu Bakr Ibn al-ʿArabī al-Mālikī and his exegetical methodology in Ahkām al-Qurʾān, while highlighting his intellectual influence on later Qur’anic commentators. The research aims to identify the methodological foundations adopted by Ibn al-ʿArabī in interpreting the legal verses of the Qur’an and to demonstrate the scientific value of his work as one of the most significant contributions to juristic Qur’anic exegesis in Islamic heritage. Ibn al-ʿArabī employed a balanced approach that combined transmitted exegesis (tafsīr bi al-maʾthūr) with rational interpretation (tafsīr bi al-raʾy), relying on the Qur’an, the Prophetic Sunnah, the opinions of the Companions and Followers, as well as Arabic linguistic principles and the foundations of Islamic jurisprudence. The study also discusses the evaluations of classical and modern scholars regarding his scholarly standing and traces the influence of Ahkām al-Qurʾān on major exegetes such as al-Qurṭubī, Ibn Kathīr, al-Suyūṭī, and al-Shawkānī through textual transmission and methodological similarities. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical method based on textual analysis and comparison. It concludes that Ahkām al-Qurʾān remains a foundational reference in juristic exegesis and comparative Islamic jurisprudence, reflecting Ibn al-ʿArabī’s enduring impact on Islamic scholarship.

الملخص
يتناول هذا البحث مكانة الإمام أبي بكر بن العربي المالكي ومنهجه التفسيري في كتابه أحكام القرآن، مع بيان أثره العلمي في المفسرين الذين جاؤوا بعده. وتهدف الدراسة إلى الكشف عن الخصائص المنهجية التي اعتمدها ابن العربي في تفسير آيات الأحكام، وإبراز القيمة العلمية لكتابه بوصفه أحد أبرز كتب التفسير الفقهي في التراث الإسلامي. وقد اعتمد ابن العربي في تفسيره على منهج متوازن جمع فيه بين التفسير بالمأثور والتفسير بالرأي، مستندًا إلى القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية وأقوال الصحابة والتابعين، إضافة إلى توظيفه لقواعد اللغة العربية وأصول الفقه والترجيح بين الأقوال الفقهية والتفسيرية. كما تناولت الدراسة شهادات العلماء المتقدمين والمتأخرين في بيان مكانته العلمية، وأبرزت أثر كتابه في عدد من المفسرين، ولا سيما القرطبي وابن كثير والسيوطي والشوكاني، من خلال تتبع مواضع النقل والتأثر والاستفادة. واعتمد البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي القائم على استقراء النصوص وتحليلها ومقارنتها. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى أن كتاب أحكام القرآن يُعد مرجعًا أساسيًا في التفسير الفقهي والفقه المقارن، وأن أثره العلمي امتد إلى مدارس تفسيرية متعددة، مما يؤكد مكانة ابن العربي في التراث التفسيري الإسلامي.
